No.21 – Sideways growth in Manipur and Ethiopia; my last trip to Asia for easyBibles – in Jan 2018

Pastor Khupkan Vaiphei in Manipur, India hopes to recruit 2 volunteers to start new easylanguages for Manipur, soon.

Similar progress is reported from Henok in Ethiopia who was introduced to me in January by friends in MissionAssist and has already finished an excellent Mark’s Gospel in Amharic – and is moving on to start John. Henok is involved with Children’s evangelism and desires gospels that are much easier for children to read.

Henok has other friends in mind for the more than 70 languages of his nation.

I’m sending 2 Kindle Fire tablets to each team – to support these very positive moves!

Thuy a young woman doing easyViet has battled on to finish chapter 12 of Luke at level A – despite recently losing her father after many years of ill health. She is a graduate of her aunt’s Bible College.

My only trip for 2018 outside Europe will be to help the poorest nations in Asia and Africa.
I’m praying about something like :
Mon Jan 22th – Manchester to Kolkata to meet Ps Vaiphei
Jan 25th – Kalkata to Kuala Lumpur to meet Thuy from Vietnam plus other Asians who’ve done some work by then
Jan 30th – Kuala Lumpur to Nairobi
bus to Kampala visiting Kijabe, Kisii, Busia in Kenya en route.
Feb 6th Entebbe/Kampala to Addis Ababa to meet Ps Henok and friends before returning to Manchester on Feb 9th.

A lot depends on the work done by volunteers in various nations – THIS YEAR BEFORE I BUY MY PLANE TICKETS.

THIS MAY WELL BE MY LAST TRIP TO ASIA FOR EASYBIBLES – I WILL BE 77! AND THE POOREST NATIONS IN AFRICA ARE LEADING US FORWARD!

For example, Caren whom i met 2 weeks ago in Kisumu, Kenya has already finished Luke’s Gospel at level A – ready for checking and field-testing – in easyDholuo – ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT LANGUAGES IN EAST AFRICA! PRAISE GOD!
