No.22 – May 2017 is our BREAKTHROUGH MONTH – led by YOUTH – for THE POOR AND LEARNING DISABLED

Every day this month i’m being encouraged by young people , in their 20’s and 30’s, TAKING www.easyBibles.com FORWARD.
Even the main African leader Bp Isaac Makokha is only just 40 yers old. His birthday was just before my trip to Africa in April/May – but i sent no present – in line with my financial policy to NOT help with education, health or even bereavement problems. I was taught several years ago that , even in the poorest nations translators and checkers must look to God for such help.

The real BREAKTHROUGH started not with easyBibles but with our friends in MissionAssist and the agreement of the Bible Society in Swindon, UK to help them to publish their EasyEnglish Bibles at level A.
Our easyBibles ministry is built on their success and kind helpfulness. So i’ve repeated using their photo of being number 12 in the league table of English Bibles – as our featured image. If you look carefully you can just see ‘ee’ in position 12 of this chart from the American Bible Society.

SO OUR YOUNG TEAMS ARE BUILDING ON FIRM FOUNDATIONS AS THEY MOVE US CLOSER TO CHRIST’S WORDS IN LUKE CH 4 V 18 – THAT HE WAS ANOINTED TO PREACH GOOD NEWS TO

    THE POOR

Our new, encouraging and enthusiastic friends include :

Kia(Juba Arabic and Arabic) , Kabaale (Luganda), Darious (Bari – bravely based in Juba) and Alison (Zande) at St Lawrence University, Kampala, Narcisse from CAR (Sango, French and Lingala) at Camp Rhino, North Uganda, Caren (Dholuo) ,Henok (Amharic but has recruited friends to add languages), Thuy (Viet), Seline (Teso). Lianneilun (helping his father with Vaiphei and new languages from Manipur), plus experienced business consultant Paul in Busia,Kenya (a great help to Bp Isaac) Revd Joseph (Luganda in his church in N W Kampala), and Justus (Director Africa for Bethany Kids wonderful ministry visiting former patients of Kijabe Hospital to assist their recovery.
These older and mature leaders will advise and support Bp Isaac as he preaches and leads us forward in Africa.

My apologies to anyone that this old man has forgotten to mention.

Also we rejoice in fellowship with Kijabe Hospital Chaplains – Geoffrey, Sylvia,Stephen………and our SIM European missionary friends as they bravely help to reach Somali peoples.

Please pray for Bp Isaac and myself as in September we shall revise our new Youth Competitions.
